Arpeggios Made Easy - Piano - Taylor/Taylor

By Virginia Taylor and Kirsten Taylor.

From the Introduction: "The word "Arpeggio" is derived from "arpa," the Italian word for hard/ It means to break or spread a chord either upward or downward as is so often done on that instrument. An arpeggio is thus a broken chord. Arpeggios are essential components of music composition and performance. If a student can construct chords and arpeggios and identify them in his music and on the keyboard, they become more analytical and better understands the structural basis of composition.

Arpeggios Made Easy facilitates the learning of fingering in arpeggiated triads, dominant 7ths and diminished 7ths by presenting fingering patterns. The book is divided into three sections: Triads, Dominant 7ths, and Diminished 7ths. Each section includes designs and instructions for constructing for constructing these arpeggios following by patterns for correct fingerings."
