The Piano Works of Rachmaninoff - Piano Duet

This historic reference edition of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 1, in F-sharp minor, Op. 1 is composed of three movements: Vivace, Andante cantabile and Allegro scherzando. This concerto, written in 1891 when Rachmaninoff was only 18, is the original version that was later reworked by the composer into a more virtuosic version in 1917. This original version, while less difficult than the revised version, remains an important pedagogical work.

This historic reference edition of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, in D Minor, Op. 30 is considered by many to be the composer’s most virtuosic piano concerto. It is composed of three movements: Allegro ma non tanto, Intermezzo: Adagio and Finale: Alla breve. Also included is an outstanding CD recording, from the Naxos label, by internationally renowned artist, Bernd Glemser, with the Ireland National Symphony Orchestra, Jerzy Maksymiuk conducting. It is composed of three movements: Allegro vivace (Alla breve), Largo and Allegro vivace.
