Preliminary Book - A preliminary book that can be used to introduce young beginners to Piano Course Book 1, “Teach Me” covers approximately the first half of the first year.

Book One - Designed as a continuation of “Teach Me to Play,” this may be used as a first book for an older beginner. Introduction of pedalling, use of the metronome, and various tempi.

Book Two - Centering around the understanding and means of expression, Book 2 introduces the student to famous pieces that illustrate humor and seriousness, repose and excitement, motion and rest. Sixteenth notes, alla breve, syncopation, 2- and 3-part form, modulation, trills.

Book Three - Book 3 focuses on new technical skills, to increase the student's capability for artistic performance. Exploration of ornamentation, independence of hands, combined touches in one hand, contrapuntal playing, development of velocity.

Book Four - The development of piano literature is illustrated in the teaching of pieces in chronological order from Rameau through MacDowell.
